If you have an older home in Phoenix and the plumbing hasn’t been replaced in many years, you may need a house repiping. This is the process of replacing or bypassing the homes existing plumbing pipes with new piping. It can be easy to determine whether or not you need a repiping, and the work can usually be completed within 1 or 2 days. Some of the problems you may experience include:

·         Inconsistent water temperatures

·         Water takes a long time to get hot

·         Inconsistent water pressure

·         Shower or bath goes cold when the toilet is flushed the

·         Discolored water

·         Leaking or leaky water pipes

·         Rust-colored water

Copper vs. PVC:

Due to its durable nature, copper pipes remain a popular choice, but tend to be more expensive. Polyvinyl chloride, which is more commonly known as PVC, is also a common option. It is currently becoming more popular in the market and is the preferred material when it comes to large-scale construction projects. PVC is not as versatile as copper piping because it can become toxic when it is heated, thus PVC cannot be used for hot water pipes. Chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CVPC) is commonly used in these instances, which is an adapted version of PVC that is safe to use for hot water. Our Phoenix plumbing experts will help you determine which is the best choice for your home or business.
